Directions

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a large mixing bowl
  2. Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water
  3. Stir yeast mixture into dry ingredients
  4. Add warm water as required for proper consistency
  5. Cover with dish towel and let stand overnight
  6. Next morning, add egg, molasses, and oil
  7. Dissolve baking soda into 1 cup warm water and add to above for proper consistency
  8. Cook on hot greased griddle (375)
  1. Warm water for yeast and baking soda should be between 103 and 108 F for best results
  2. ensure yeast is thought dissolved and activated
